- Where do these jobs come from?
- Two sources today: Hacker News "Who is hiring?" threads, and company career pages fetched directly from their own job board APIs (Greenhouse, Ashby). We are actively adding Reddit hiring threads and X hiring leads as additional sources.
- How often is the board updated?
- Daily. Scheduled jobs check the current "Who is hiring?" thread and known company career pages for new listings and add them automatically.
- Are these jobs US-only?
- Jobless focuses on US software engineering roles: remote, hybrid, and on-site. We do not list roles outside the US.
- How do I apply?
- Click Apply on any listing. Most link straight to the company's application page. Where a poster only shared an email or asked people to reach out directly, you will see a "How to apply" note on the job instead.
- Why is a listing no longer there?
- Listings expire automatically after a set window so the board does not fill up with stale roles. If a company is still hiring for a role after it expires here, check their careers page directly.
- Is Jobless free?
- Yes, browsing and applying to every listing is free. Jobless is the job board companion to the Jobless newsletter.
- How is this different from LinkedIn or Indeed?
- No sponsored spam, no recruiter reposts, no expired listings sitting around for months. Every job on Jobless traces back to a real hiring thread or company source, refreshed daily.
- I am hiring. Can I post a job?
- The fastest way to get listed is to post in the current Hacker News "Who is hiring?" thread, or list the role on your own Greenhouse or Ashby career page. We pull from both daily.
