Why we built this
Jobless started as a newsletter. As we kept publishing, readers wrote in with the same complaints: job boards full of listings that had closed months ago, every board pulling from the same three sources, and recruiter messages that led nowhere. We built the job board because we had already heard exactly what was broken from the people using it.
What we changed
- Listings expire automatically instead of sitting on the board for months after a role closes.
- Jobs come from Hacker News threads, company career pages, and hand-curated X and Reddit leads, not one recycled feed.
- No sponsored placements and no "create an account to apply." Every listing links to a real apply page or a specific way to reach the person hiring.
